Before you attend skills testing, make sure to watch the videos below. Why? Studies show that students who review these materials beforehand spend less time in the classroom.
Take a few minutes to go through the videos—it’ll make your class quicker and more efficient.
Note: You can skip these videos if you’re only taking BLS or CPR & First Aid.
We deliver the online course three times per day, between 8 AM and 5 PM. To complete the American Heart Association course, you’ll need a computer or tablet—phones are not compatible.
The course adapts to your current knowledge and skills, so the duration will vary based on your experience:
BLS: 1–2 hours
ACLS or PALS: 3–4 hours
You have the flexibility to start and stop the course anytime—you don’t need to finish it all at once.
Taking the BLS, ACLS, or PALS course? Here’s exactly what to do on your testing day:
Arrive at your testing location on the date and time you selected during registration. Bring your RQI login credentials and entry instructions (you’ll find these in your email or text messages). Once there, put on the gloves provided. Then simply enter your login and password on the computer—either using the keyboard or the touch screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your skills session.
The Voice-Assisted Manikin (VAM) will guide you step-by-step through the skills testing process. Since an instructor isn’t present during this session, you can call our office at any time if you have questions. Our dedicated and friendly team is ready to help if you need assistance.
Planning to take your CPR and First-aid course?
Make sure you arrive at your testing location on the date and time you selected during registration. Don’t forget to bring your phone — your instructor will contact you via text or through the room’s cameras to start your skills testing.
A certified American Heart Association instructor will guide you through the process virtually. The best part? You’ll receive your certification card the very same day.
On the day of your course, you’ll receive a free keychain CPR training mask—available in a variety of vibrant colors.
Why is this important? CPR masks are essential for safe and effective CPR. Using a breathing mask helps you follow universal precautions and adds an extra layer of safety.
Once you’ve completed your American Heart Association training, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could leave us a review on Google, Yelp, or Facebook. As a women-owned business, your feedback makes a big difference in helping us grow.
When you sign up for a CPR class, you should know that chest compressions can strain your hands, wrists, arms, or body. If you have any pre-existing conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, injuries, or ongoing pain, it’s best to wait until you’re fully recovered before attending.
Feeling tired or short on time? Call our office to reschedule your session at no extra cost. If you’d like, you’re also welcome to stay in the room and complete your training later.
